Determinants of Work Accidents in Oil Palm Harvesters At Pt. Asahan Indah Palm Oil in Rokan Hulu Regency in 2020

Abstract

Kasus kecelakaan kerja pada pemanen sawit yang terjadi di PT. X pada tahun 2019 yaitu sebanyak 45 kasus kecelakaan kerja mulai dari yang ringan hingga kecelakaan sedang yang mengakibatkan hilangnya hari kerja. Penyebab terjadinya kecelakaan kerjakarna masih ada pemanen sawit yang pengetahuannya kurang tentang kecelakaan kerja, tidak mengecek alat kerja seperti egrek, dodosdan kapak ketika ingin digunakan, tidak menggunakan APD  lengkap pada saat bekerja, dan bekerja tidak mengikuti SOP yang sudah ditetapkan perusahaan untuk para pemanen sawit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui determinan kecelakaan kerja pada pemanen sawit di PT. X Kabupaten Rokan Hulu tahun 2020. Dengan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan desai penelitian cross sectional. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pemanen sawit di PT. X, dan jumlah sampel penelitian sebanyak 72 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu total sampling. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis univariat dan bivariat dengan uji chi square dan tingkat signifikan 0,05. Hasil penelitian mrnunjukkan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kecelakaan kerja (Pvalue 0,012, nilai OR=1,1), ada hubungan antara kondisi alat dengan kecelakaan kerja (Pvalue 0,021, nilai OR=2,5), ada hubungan antara alat pelindung diri dengan kecelakaan kerja (Pvalue 0,005, nilai OR=3,4) dan ada hubungan antara standar operasional prosedur dengan kecelakaan kerja (Pvalue 0,024, nilai OR=2,4). Disarankan untuk selalu melakukan upaya pengawasan serta pengarahan yang ketat dari perusahan tterhadap pengetahuan pemanen sawit tentang kecelakan kerja,kondisi alat,penggunan APD dan mengikuti SOP.

The case of work accident on palm oil employee at PT. Sawit Asahan Indah which was recorded in 2019 there were 45 casesof work accidents ranging from minor to moderate accidents which resulted in the loss of work days.. The cause of work accident is probably because there are still employee who lack of knowledge, don’t check the tools such egrek, dodos,axes when they want to use them, don’t use complete personal protective equipment while working, and work not following establishes SOP. This study aims to determine the determinants of occupational accidents in the employee of palm oil in PT. Sawit Asahan Indah Rokan Hulu District 2020. With a quantitative research method with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study were all of employee palm oil in PT. Sawit Asahan Indah and the sample of reseacrh is 72 people. The sampling technique was total sampling. The analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the chi square test and a significant level of 0.05. The results showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and work accidents (Pvalue 0.012, OR=1,1), there was a relationship between equipment conditions and work accidents (Pvalue 0.021,OR=2,5), there was a relationship between personal protective equipment and work accidents (Pvalue 0.005,OR= 3,4) and there was a relationship between standard operating procedures and accidents. work (Pvalue 0.024, OR=2,4). It is recommended that to always carry out efforts to supervise and direct tightly from the company regarding the knowledge of oil palm harvesters about work accidents, equipment conditions, use of PPE and following SOP.
