Abstract

Demam typhoid merupakan penyakit infeksi akut yang biasanya terdapat pada saluran cerna dan gejala demam lebih dari satu minggu, gangguan pada saluran pencernaan dan gangguan kesadaran. Kejadian demam typhoid di RSUD Petala Bumi Provinsi Riau pada tahun 2018 sebanyak 151 kasus terjadi peningkatan pada tahun 2019 yaitu 179 kasus. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan kebiasaan jajan anak  dengan kejadian demam typhoid pada anak usia sekolah di rawat inap RSUD Petala Bumi Provinsi Riau. Jenis penelitian ini adalah analitik kuantitatif observasional dengan desain case control. Lokasi penelitian di RSUD Petala Bumi Provinsi Riau dengan jumlah sampel kasus 20 orang dan sampel kontrol 20 orang. Teknik sampling menggunakan purposive sampling. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah kuesioner. Analisis data dengan univariat dan bivariat (chi-square). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan signifikan antara frekuensi jajan (p-value = 0,026) cuci tangan sebelum makan (p-value = 0,011) kemasan jajan (p-value = 0,024) dengan kejadian demam typhoid di RSUD Petala Bumi Provinsi Riau. Saran untuk instansi kesehatan agar lebih meningkatkan edukasi kepada orangtua anak yang menderita demam typhoid selama pasien dirawat. Yaitu dengan memberikan informasi kepada orangtua dalam mendidik dan memberikan pendidikan gizi diluar pendidikan formal sekolah perlu ditingkatkan agar anak dapat memilih dan membedakan antara makanan jajanan sehat dan tidak sehat.

 

Typhoid fever is an acute infectious disease that is usually found in the gastrointestinal tract and symptoms of fever are more than one week, the digestive tract disorder and consciousness disturbance. The case of typhoid fever in Petala Bumi Regional Hospital, Riau Provinc, for 2018 were 151 cases, and got  increase in 2019, those were 179 cases. This research goal to determine the correlation between children's buying snack habits and the incidence of typhoid fever in children at school-age hospitalized in Petala Bumi Hospital, Riau Province. This research type is an observational quantitative analytic with a case control design. The research location is in Petala Bumi Regional Hospital, Riau Province, with a total cases sample are 20 people and a control samples are 20 people. The sampling technique used purposive sampling. The measuring instrument which used in data collecting was a questionnaire. Data analysis was using univariate and bivariate (chi-square). The results showed that there were significant correlation between the frequency of buying snacks (p-value = 0,026) washing hands before eating (p-value = 0,011) snack packs (p-value = 0,024) and the incidence of typhoid fever at Petala Bumi Regional Hospital, Riau Province. It is suggested for health agencies to do further improving education for parents of children that suffering of typhoid fever while the patient is treated. Those be like, providing information to parents in educating and providing nutrition education outside of formal school education, it needs to be improved so that children can select and distinguish between healthy and unhealthy snack foods.
